Rozi Baker

Rozi Baker Rozi (pronounced "Rosie") Baker made her Broadway Debut, at age 10, on July 15, 2009 in Shrek, the Musical, where she performed the roles of "Young Fiona", “Young Shrek”, and “Dwarf”, until the show closed on January 3, 2010.

In 2010 and 2011, Rozi was honored to play the role of Dani in staged readings of Kooman & Dimond’s Dani Girl, at the Cherry Lane Theatre and at the NAMT presentations, directed by Scott Schwartz. Also in 2010 and 2011, she was thrilled to play the role of Winnie in the staged readings and the Broadway Lab of Miller, Tysen & Shear’s Tuck Everlasting, which were directed by Casey Nickolaw.

Rozi was inspired to pursue a Broadway career in order to play Jane Banks in MARY POPPINS. She achieved that goal in April of 2010, and loved every performance, with her Mary Poppins family, right through her last one on Oct. 30, 2011, at the New Amsterdam Theatre in Times Square!

On Nov. 3, she began rehearsing BONNIE AND CLYDE, where she was the standby for the role of Young Bonnie. Though the show opened Dec. 1, 2011, and closed on Dec. 30th, Rozi loved the piece, and it was another dream come true, to see a Broadway show in the making, and to be part of the uber-talented original cast! Meeting this amazing creative team, and watching director Jeff Calhoun in action was truly inspiring!

Most recently, Rozi played Jane in the reading of SECONDHAND LIONS, where she met and worked with more amazing talents, including the legendary Sir Rupert Holmes! Shortly after that, she played Cary in LITTLE MISS FIX-IT, in the Roundabout Theatre Company's Underground Reading Series. In both of these readings, Rozi found herself working with some actors she had already worked with, and some she was meeting for the first time, and thus she discovered one of the great joys of a life in the theatre!
